Good news is always nice to read, especially after the reports that have dominated our news lately. The good news: Valkenburg's Christmas market has been voted the most beautiful in the Netherlands! And at No. 7 in Europe. We should be quite proud of that!
Valkenburg has always been a unique place in the South Limburg Hill Country with its beautiful marl buildings, many cafes and cozy shopping streets. But at Christmas time, a visit to Valkenburg is a real experience. Unique are the Christmas markets in the ancient marl tunnels of the Velvet Cave and the Municipal Cave. Beautiful stalls with Christmas decorations and lovely gifts, atmospheric lighting and music, will immediately put you in a romantic Christmas atmosphere.
